GRAND FINALE DEBATE AND PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION KINONDONI DICTRICT

Salma Kikwete, Makongo High and Mtakuja secondary school shined on kinondoni Gland final.

The first land final for the district debate and public speaking competition took happened on 4th February, 2017 at BUNI Hub (COSTECH) where Mtakuja beach secondary school became the first CHAMPION of Kinondoni district debate championship and Salma Kikwete secondary school emerged as champions of Kinondoni district public speaking championship. Together are joining Makongo (the second runner up) to the Dar es salaam region Gland Final. Different students including Angel Nelson and Khairat from Mtakuja, Asha Ally & Kambei from Makongo and Suzan Salum & Juvenile from Salma Kikwete secondory proved high compitence and skills in debating and public speaking. It was so nice to see students from the so called normal schools with exception of Makongo High School doing wonders and excell their talents like the future potential great leaders of the motion.

The competition we blessed by the Kinondoni District Administrative Secretary (DAS) Madam Gift who was the guest of honour. Speacial appearance from students icons and TV and radio programs media celebrities including Kevoo from chanel 5(EATV) Skonga program and Julian Joseph from Choice f.m 102.5 Campus buzz program. Eluka Kibona from Oxfam, Nasser Mtengera from TVYA and Joseph Shtindi from Suleiman Kova foundation where also present to see thhat historical event in the education history of Tanzania Education. Very special appreciation to staff and management of BUNI hub for accommodating us in their beautiful venue, thanks because they have been art of this history but also ta they have contributed to nurture talents, potentials and even dreams of those young students hence furthering their ideal of innovation
